Does this balance the haggis and bagpipes?

I had a friend who wore a kilt to class. His grandparents came from Scotland and he was proud of his heritage. He looked so dashing!

I was very curious about whether he wore anything under the kilt, but was too shy to ask.

I remain too shy despite further encounters of the kilt kind, such as when I visited the Colorado version of the Highland Games.

There, I enjoyed not just men in kilts, but men in kilts dancing with swords. Once upon a time was an ancient dance of war. Now it’s just one more reason the Scots are often heroes in romance novels.

Another time I was lucky enough to see a parade of veterans marching in kilts and playing bagpipes. I know some people hate the pipes, but I enjoy them.

Here is a version of Amazing Grace played by the US Army band in remembrance of Memorial Day. It is hauntingly beautiful:

Here is bagpipe music being played by the Indian Army bag. I found it intriguing that Indians still remember the Highland Regiments. I think they admired their bravery.
