there was no HIV status for the people infected with the omicron strain. Now, you may have gotten your data from a better source than the article I cite. So I'm not saying you are wrong, just that I found a source that shows no correlation between HIV and omicron.

Also, according to Reuters, the Johannesburg doctor that first detected this variant stated that the symptoms are quite mild.
