According to this: https://www.cbs58.com/news/kyle-rittenhouse-trial-enters-week-2-survivor-testifies Gaige Grosskreutz admitted on the stand that Rittenhouse only shot him AFTER Grosskreutz pointed a pistol at Rittenhouse's head when they were only a few feet apart.
To quote the defense lawyer: "It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him, advanced on him, with your gun pointed at him, that he fired? Right?” To which Grosskreutz answered: “Correct.”
If you look at the video, Rittenhouse was running AWAY from the mob chasing him. He did NOT shoot anyone until AFTER he was attacked.
should he have been there. NO. He was illegally armed, as well. So certainly he can and should be charged for those things. BUT both the video and the testimony of one of the guys shot doesn't support the accusation of premeditated murder.
