Also, there is a Celtic saying, about women holding up half the sky. I love that saying. I think too often men don’t appreciate the stuff women do because it’s maybe not as visible… they don’t understand how co-ed gatherings just run more smoothly and people are happier because women are doing the “under the male radar” work of emotional care-taking.
Women’s contributions often really are unacknowledged. Maybe it’s male ego. Maybe it’s our extroverted, yang society (vs. a society where there is more of a yin/yang balance).
