As many of you know, I am fighting metastatic cancer. The doctors gave me 6 months to live back in April of 2021, yet I am still here 22 months later.

One of the reasons I’m still here is, I think, dietary changes I’ve made.

Here are some of them:

  • Lots of healthy veggies. I make sure I get some dark leafy greens and cruciferous veggies every day.
  • Healthy fruits like berries, citrus, and apples
  • Healthy nuts like walnuts
  • Healthy protein such as wild-caught fish, pastured eggs, and pastured bone broth
  • Moderate amounts of legumes and healthy grains like wild rice and quinoa
  • Using healthy oils like coconut oil, olive oil, and avocado oil
  • No processed foods
  • No added sugars
  • Restaurant food only on special occasions
  • Purified water

Basically, if it’s not prepared by either myself or my mom in my own kitchen, I don’t eat it. My diet has become mostly vegetables because those are the healthiest.
