Babe, you have to parent yourself if no one else will do it for you. But IMHO, it's better to be alone and love yourself than to have toxic people in your life. Focus on being a good person, on loving yourself and others, and trust God to provide you with the right people. JMHO

I am a Christian, and one thing that the Bible says - love others as you love yourself. But the key that people often don't see - first you must love yourself. If you don't know how to love and care for yourself, and respect yourself, it's much harder to do this in a healthy way with others.

It's not selfish to first focus on yourself. So I hope you do take care of yourself.
