On September 24th, 2022, a group of armed black Second Amendment activists marched through Austin, Texas. The group was led by The Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club. They marched toward the Texas Capital on Saturday in the “Second Amendment Unity Walk”.

The activists had several demands. These included:

  • Reparations for descendants of enslaved people
  • A Hate Crime Bill specifically for black Americans
  • An end to illegal immigration

Video can be seen on Twitter.

According to additional tweets by journalist Ford Fischer, the marchers were yelling chants that support closed borders and against illegal immigration.

According to Nick Bezzel, founder of the Elmer Geronimo Pratt Gun Club, “a lot of jobs are taken away from black people because of illegal immigration.” According to him, this prevents black people from making a living wage.

I actually have seen this for myself. Years ago I worked for a placement agency. Right after Hurricane Katrina, there were calls for construction workers and we were able to place several dozen. A week before they were supposed to leave, however, we got a call…
