Breakfast With Fruit?

Is it healthy for someone fighting cancer?

My breakfast this morning — delicious AND nutritious

I am fighting cancer, which I have shared on this site, but, to recap, I was diagnosed with metastatic brain, lung, and liver in April of 2021. I was told I had 6 months to live and that I would spend the last few weeks in hospice care.

That isn’t what happened.

I have talked about my faith and I believe that is part of why I am still here. I believe in a God who heals, who loves us, and who carries us. That doesn’t mean we live in some fantasy world with unicorns and rainbows. It does mean, however, that we trust Him to help us through problems we face.

It also doesn’t remove our responsibility from the equation.

So I’ve gone to medical practitioners. I’ve done my own research. I have accepted treatments such as chemo when I thought it made sense. And I have made lifestyle changes.

This includes changing my diet dramatically.

The breakfast above is an example of how I eat now. Everything in the bowl is there to provide me with nutrients. I also find it delicious.

I cut up an organic banana and washed some organic blueberries for the base. Then I poured about a cup of whole fat kefir over it, and added a granola made up mostly of nuts and seeds along with…
