BTW, thinking some more on this... Malcom X actually was very sane when he advocated for separation in the sense that in some ways the relationship between white and black Americans is like an abusive marriage.

Blacks are continuously being abused by whites, yet they want to remain close to whites? How dysfunctional is that? It's like an abused wife wanting to stay with her abusive husband.

Whereas Malcom X was an advocate for strong black men, families, communities...

Now, don't get me wrong. I like living in a diverse neighborhood and I like having black friends. But I would get it if, after centuries of abuse, blacks decided on a divorce. Then they could focus their energy on constructive things instead of fighting for the crumbs that white society might give them.

Black Americans actually have financial power. What would happen if blacks only shopped at black owned businesses? Or if instead of leaving black neighborhoods, when blacks became successful, they stayed and helped other blacks climb the ladder? It's an interesting concept.

While people talk about Africa like it's a basket case the thing is, Africa is a huge continent and there are African countries that are really rising in terms of GDP. What if the next century ends up being the African century? Africa is a young continent (the average age of the populace is comparitively young) while Europe and much of Asia is aging. This plus the huge natural resources gives Africa many advantages.

What if, in 50 years, Americans are trying to immigrate to places like Nigeria because it will be growing so fast? It could happen. There are many African countries that are booming.
