From my perspective, I wasn't lecturing, just sharing my own viewpoint, which is part of having a discussion. You know, you share stuff, I share stuff... If that's an issue for you, no need to continue the conversation. Besides, I don't know you. How would I know you live among the poor?

I've had similar experiences with poor people.

I've never bought a gun, but it was my understanding that in order to get one, you need to go through a background check. If that turns up a felony or history of mental illness, you don't get approved. In some jurisdictions you need to take a class and there are waiting periods.

Meanwhile, in the past, one group that was banned from owning weapons - African Americans. They were terrorized by evil people like the KKK. I actually wrote an article about this:
