Women are lamenting their dating life. Well, what else is new, right? But I remember a time when the only women who really had it tough were those living in places like New York City. You know, where it seems like half the men are gay and the rest are fighting off hordes of supermodels.

This was back in the halcyon days of the late ’80s and early ’90s. I moved around a lot back then, and I found it pretty easy to find men to date. All of them had jobs, too, and were generally nice people.

Apparently the world is now a different place, at least according to this article in the NY Post. It points out how shifting demographics of the college population has skewed dating dynamics. Thanks to the dearth of men attending college, women are fighting over them.

Guess what this leads to?

Men can get away with all sorts of bad behavior, such as cheating, refusing to commit, and so on. It’s dubbed “golden penis syndrome” and apparently it’s making college educated women quite melancholy.

Let’s discuss.

Ladies, this is not really a bad thing, even though it seems that way at first.
