he might have volunteered long before the invasion of Ukraine. he might have been a young, idealistic man who thought he would only be asked to defend his country, not kill civilians in an invasion... many young, idealistic men (and women) are tricked into signing up and then they realize what is really going on, it happens in the US too. people think they will do something good and end up suffering from nightmares because of the reality.
