thanks for checking - Mom and I are doing well, all things considered. :-)

When I was first diagnosed, they assumed I'd only be alive for 6 months so they assigned a palliative care nurse to me. I actually love her and so I've kept up our monthly appointments.

She checks in on me once a month (she comes to my house) and charts my status and what is going on with me healthwise. She will write me scrips if I call and need something and offers advice and recommendations for meds that might help.

And, if I ever actually did need full time care, she could get me set up with hospice.
