Holes In All My Clothes
It’s all thanks to the cat
I have a cat that used to be a feral. She was originally given a home by a friend who owned a farm and wanted barn cats.
My friend’s other cats were stand-offish creatures. They were content to be on their own in the barn. My friend made sure they saw a vet once a year, had clean water, food to supplement the mice they caught, and soft blankets to rest on.
They would sometimes deign to let someone briefly pet them but that was about it.
Opal, on the other hand, is a super-friend, affectionate creature. She kept sneaking into my friend’s house and jumping on peoples’ laps.
My friend didn’t want pets in her house, so she asked to see if anyone would like a sweet kitty.
That’s how we got Opal.
She is a super awesome cat.
Her fur is really plush and wonderful to pet. She is playful and energetic, so she’s fun to play with. She also is a great lap cat. And she welcomes most people to our house and will offer to warm their laps.
The only problem with Opal?
Because she was a feral cat, she never learned that claws should be retracted when she’s on a lap.
