Hope in the face of metastatic cancer
My tumors have shrunk up to 66%
I love that we live in an age where we have technology like CT scanners. I still remember the first time I had cancer, 17 years ago. I wanted to take apart the machines they used to test and treat me, because I was fascinated by them. It’s a great way for geeks to be distracted in the face of life-threatening situations — distract us with gadgets. The more complex the better!
Thanks to modern technology, I was able to get a measurement of my tumors.
I am going to share this personal information publicly. Why? Because cancer patients need hope. If you or someone you love is dealing with this dreadful disease… know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I want to share my good news in documented detail because maybe it will give you hope.
In addition to my faith in science, I also believe in God. I believe He is good and can work miracles.
This does NOT mean that every person who has faith will be healed, however. Just like not every person responds well to radiation therapy, surgery, or chemotherapy. However… healing can happen even when the situation seems hopeless. And even for those who will not be healed… there can be periods of remission which allow people to connect with loved ones, check items off their bucket…
