How to have glowing skin
Ditch the make-up, try a sauna instead
I’m 53 years old, I have cancer, but people often tell me my skin is gorgeous. The last time I saw my ex-husband, he told me I looked great.
“You always had great skin,” he said. “The woman I’m dating now, she’s got wrinkles. I told her she should stop wearing make-up, you never did.”
Which is not totally true — I do wear make-up a couple of times a year, on special occasions. But not every day. I don’t like to waste my time putting it on, or my money buying it. And when I do buy it — I make sure to get the stuff that’s not tested on animals, because no bunny should go blind just so I can have a new shade of blue.
And, I do have wrinkles… but you have to get pretty close to see them.
So, what is my secret to good skin?
Genetics plays a role
Unfortunately, this is not something you can control. Some people are blessed with good genes.
If you take after your mother, and she’s got a flawless complexion, you might as well.
And there’s a saying, “black don’t crack” — I don’t know how true it is, but I suspect there is something to it... my friends who are black or naturally tan seem to have less issues with wrinkles.
