humanity has survived the Black Death, wars, famine... and climate change has happened before, too. The Maunder Minimum and the medieval warm period. We've also had World wars. Nuclear power plant disasters. tsunamis and volcanic eruptions.

I think we may have some rough times ahead, but in America we've survived the Great Depression, a Civil War, the Civil Rights era, stagflation during the Carter years... I think we can get through this.

Of course, a meteor could hit the earth and we could go the way of the dinosaur. Anything is possible. I'd rather not live my life based on that though.
