I am going to share this on my FB feed because it's a great story and I love mathematics. And the brilliance of these girls should be publicized.

However, there have been many people (white women as well as minorities) who were never given the recognition they deserved - such as Cecilia Payne who discovered the composition of the universe.

Despite her discovery being on a par with those of Einstein and Newton - she barely gets a footnote in the history books.

There have been many people of color and women who have done great things and get very little acknowledgement for it. I would love it if history books included more of their stories.
