I am morally conflicted about the use of animals to develop life saving drugs. No moral conflicts though about using animals for testing cosmetics, or food coloring, or any number of other things. I don't buy health care products unless there is a cruelty rabbit on the label.

As far as life saving drugs - we humans are innovative creatures. Why can't we figure out a better way to test drugs than on living creatures?

And why can't we provide better treatment for the animals that are used in labs? I saw a video of a baby monkey in a lab - just screaming in terror. That baby belongs with its mother, not in a lab. How could a researcher continue testing that baby? How heartless do you have to be?
