I Am Still Alive!

I have just had a rough couple of weeks

I unfortunately had a sinus infection as well as multiple items I had to deal with — IRS filings for myself and Mom, scheduling CT and PET scans, then a trip to the emergency room, paying medical bills, making appointments for routine maintenance around the house… it’s been overwhelming.

It didn’t help that my already low energy levels were even lower due to the infection. On top of that, the antibiotics were messing up my digestive system and so I was going to the bathroom a lot more often as well as dealing with constant low level stomach pain.

However, today is a new day, praise God.

Yesterday was my last dose of the antibiotics so I can eat real food again instead of subsisting on bananas, rice, applesauce, and Saltine crackers. I realize this may be unwise, but I am making myself a Thai chicken curry today, but I’ll keep it reasonably mild. I also had some yogurt and the last of the bananas for breakfast and am planning to drink some kombucha today to replenish my gut health.

I had a lovely long walk in the fresh air and sunshine this morning as well. I hadn’t been able to do that for the last 10 days, because the antibiotics I was on increase sun sensitivity.
