I find that sad. I'm a woman, but I have offered pregnant women and elderly people seats.

When I was in New Orleans, I was offered a seat by a young man with many tattoos, piercings, etc., but he was very polite and well mannered. I accepted and he beamed.

One time an elderly man offered me a seat. He honestly needed it more than I did but I took it anyway. To point out he needed it more would hurt his pride, and that is unforgivable. JMHO
