I was reading an article on here by Lishoné, who I really enjoy. Here is the article I’m referring to:

Of course, she is right. But, I flew out to see a guy and it worked out fine. However, I did it a little differently…

I was still recovering from a mastectomy when my husband of 20 years left me. This shocked me because the first time I’d had cancer, he’d been amazingly supportive. People change, though.

I started dating shortly after he left.

I knew my heart wasn’t fully recovered, but I needed to move on with my life. No way was I taking him back.

To be honest, I didn’t think anyone would go out with me. I was 49 and only had one breast. So I figured I’d put myself out there, be rejected, and move on with my life knowing I’d tried.

Well, I was wrong.

I went slow at first. I just wanted to get out and have fun. I wasn’t looking for anything serious.
