I Had A Wonderful Valentine’s Day
Even though I had radiation treatment
Yesterday was my last day of radiation treatment. My boyfriend, who took me, was really romantic. He’s been romantic for several days, though. It’s like I have a Valentine’s week instead of a Valentine’s Day.
Being feminine, I really appreciate this.
If I was healthier, I’d have tried to do something for him in return, as I have in the past. When I’ve given small gifts to my sweetheart on Valentine’s Day, they have been happy.
However, this year, I just didn’t have the energy.
However, I had a wonderful week.
I got flowers a few days before Valentine’s Day. The bouquet included a couple of Oriental lilies and carnations, which are my favorite flowers, as well as red roses.
On Valentine’s Day itself, a lady from my woman’s Bible Study came by with a soft, plush stuffed animal for me as a “Galentine’s Day” gift. I think the ladies in my group just wanted to show me they were thinking of me and loved me, which was nice.
