I have a problem with the narrative in that it is assumed that EVERY time a white cop (or a black cop, for that matter) shoots a black suspect, the suspect is innocent and the cop is guilty of murder.
Sometimes this is the case. For example, Tamir Rice and Breonna Taylor. Other times it is not the case. For example, there was the case of Antwon Rose Jr. Football players were wearing his picture on their helmets.
I read about him, and it made me sad, because here was a kid who had a future who was killed way too young... yet, if you read the details of the case, there was a reason the cop who shot him was found innocent. Rose was part of a group that took part in a drive-by shooting and instead of waiting in the car when the cop came to arrest the group, he ran.
In the case of Jacob Blake, the cops were called by the mother of some of his children because he sexually assaulted her and stolen her car.
Racism exists and blacks suffer more than other groups but it’s important to look at the facts and not rush to judgment when stuff happens.
