I have heard stories of similar things happening with Muslim friends. Every once in a while, polygamy works really well (for example, in one household where two of the wives have careers and the third one wanted to stay home with the kids) but most of the time human jealousy turns it into a disaster, particularly for the kids.

I would never have been OK sharing my husband with another woman. I married for love, not money, so it wasn't about his money - he didn't have much when we married. It was about the emotional connection and the physical passion. of course, he wouldn't have wanted to share me either!
