I hope the Dems don’t screw it up again
Celebrate the victor, even if it’s Bernie
As New Hampshire prepares to go to the polls, my heart is filled with trepidation.
Given the debacle that occurred in Iowa, I fear the Democrats are going to make a mockery of the election. Just as an addendum to the debacle, recently it was discovered that the Iowa Democratic officials are against math.
You heard me correctly. According to the New York Times:
“The incorrect math on the Caucus Math Worksheets must not be changed to ensure the integrity of the process,” wrote the party lawyer, Shayla McCormally, according to an email sent by Troy Price, the chairman of the party, to its central committee members. The lawyer said correcting the math would introduce “personal opinion” into the official record of results.
Apparently when you add 2 and 2, whether or not it’s 4 is a matter of personal opinion and correcting bad math is political, not, you know, rational, logical and factual. Oh, what a Brave New World we live in. When numbers become fluid, we know we’ve gone down the rabbit hole into an Orwellian space.
As I have made clear in my political posts so far, I’m not a big Bernie fan, though I like him. I prefer Andrew Yang or Tulsi Gabbard. But… if Bernie garners the most…
