I know people who love to go to the range and often have a lot of guns, etc. I myself don't own any guns, I'm a pacifist. But I have never felt unsafe with my friends who own guns - they keep them locked up, only shoot at the range, etc. But they are all mature adults.

I agree with the author in her comment - if a boy can't buy beer and cigarettes, why can he buy a gun?

since most of these mass shootings are by young, troubled men - maybe raising the age to 21 would be a good idea.
