I love Chicago. Whenever I visit I love how friendly everyone, black and white are. But for the police to give this guy such a hard time?? Why couldn't he open before 4pm? To be fair - was there someone he should have bribed? A friend of mine once told me that to get anything done as a business owner in Chicago, you have to bribe someone.

Also, poor kids need safe spaces to play. Why do they not have those safe spaces??? The city should be investing in the community.

And Lori Lightfoot, the DA, etc., are incompetent. Honestly, I don't get why black people think having a black mayor will automatically make their lives better. If the guy is competent and caring, sure. But as a minority woman, I vote for whoever I think will do the best job and will forward my best interests. If tht person is a white guy or a Chinese lesbian woman or a Mormon - I don't care as long as they serve me.

The most imporant thing - does that person take care of the people, both the poor and middle class as well as the rich? Do they treat all races with the same standard of justice? If they don't, get rid of them and try someone else.
