I loved reading this story even though it also made me cry a little. It is so hard to lose our pets, they are so innocent and beautiful and they give us so much love. My heart went out to you.

I’ve also had collies and I love the breed. I recently had to say good-bye to Annie, the collie I adopted as an older dog. She was gentle, kind, mischievous, brilliant and protective. She helped me get through a mastectomy and a divorce.
