I might be projecting from some of the weird experiences I’ve had with Desi men, and that might not be fair to the author. When I lived in NYC the Desi men I knew pursued Desi women but since I’ve moved and lived in places like Denver, the Desi men I’ve come across seem to only want to chase after thin white women. But you make a valid point, I may have made an unfair assumption about the author!
