I read "The Desert Fox" by Desmond Young over 20 years ago. I loved reading about Erwin Rommel and felt admiration for his abilities. It's unfortunate he, and so many other intelligent and honorable men served for causes they did not believe in. At least according to what I've read, Rommel was loyal to Germany but hated what the Nazis were doing to his homeland.
