I read the really good article you referenced, thanks for helping to educate us by including that. I learned something!

Re. exceptions for vaccines - in some countries such as Hungary, Iceland and Israel, I think they give people a vaccine passport if they have natural immunity. They also have a high rate (89%) of vaccination, as does Israel.

When I was a kid, I got vaccinated for polio, measles, mumps... but not for chicken pox because I had had chicken pox and recovered.

That being said... maybe people who have recovered and get a COVID booster have an even better immunity?

A small percentage also need medical exemptions for vaccinations. Finally, in the US, they allow religious exemptions. The Amish, for example, don't get vaccinated. Many died of COVID. Since they naturally isolate themselves from the general population, they don't pose a risk but others would unless they home-schooled, worked from home, didn't go shopping, etc. In other words, isolated themselves the way the Amish do.
