I respect how you put yourself in someone else's shoes and I really enjoyed your article. Not everyone can self-reflect the way you did.

at the same time - just because her problems are tougher than yours, you still have the right to share your problems. It should never be a one-way street.

I am saying this as a cancer survivor. Yes, I'm fighting for my life, and sometimes that is all I am focused on. But other times, I actually welcome the chance to hear about someone else's problems and to help them. When both partners can do that for each other, it's a much better relationship. JMHO.
