I talk to people of all different political persuasions. The thing is, there are arguments for both sides. If someone read your letter and offered an equally thoughtful response, would you read it?

There is a reason Trump was elected. The working class felt betrayed by the Dems. And Hillary Clinton did not offer them anything. Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, genuinely seemed to care about them.

If it had been Bernie vs. Trump back in 2016... This year, again, it comes down to what is the alternative to Trump? The Dems had a wide variety of great candidates this time around. I hate to say it, but once again they seem to have chosen the one that least appeals to some of the demographics they need. For many people, it's not just a matter of convincing them Trump is bad. It's providing them with an alternative they actually feel enthusiastic about.
