I think all politicians lie. To be a successful politician you sorta have to. I’m not a Trump supporter by any means but I try to be fair. And the reality is that Obama also lied and did shady things because he’s a politician. Any time someone worships a politician (whether it’s the cult of Obama or the cult of Trump) I think it’s ridiculous, because they are just human beings.

I grew up in NYC and Trump was in the headlines all the time back then. He got a lot of attention and a lot of flak. He is not someone I like for many, many reasons BUT…he was never a racist. If he’d been a racist, we would have heard about it back then, because everything he did was news.

He is also not a sexist. He hired women as managers in his company when it was much more rare and he paid them fairly.

So, when I talk about Trump, I try to be honest and objective. Like I said, he was in the headlines a lot when I was growing up. I never cared for him.

However, I have friends who vote for Trump. They are good people. We can have political discussions without killing each other. In fact, we’re pretty polite. If things start to get heated, we change the topic. It’s not worth destroying a good friendship over a difference of opinion.

Trump has done some illegal and immoral stuff. For example, you could google Polish construction workers and Trump. Or how he treated his brother Fred. There’s also his womanizing and cheating on his wives.

But if you support Trump, that’s your right and I’m not going to hate on you for it.
