I think that is a valid point. The reality is that different people need different things but as long as both parties trust and respect each other, and communicate effectively, it can all work out. One thing I always did when I was in a serious relationship - introduce any male friends I had to my SO. Actually, I sorta like introducing all of my friends to my SO, LOL!

I like your practical answer to your friends - it IS funny that it was more likely to be female friends asking!
