I think the same principle applies except it is much harder for minor children to leave a situation where the parent is abusive.

And in the inverse — where a parent is respectful but has a child that is abusive (and that can happen, though it’s much more rare) the parent still has an obligation to provide for the child until he/she is an adult.

I think parent/child relationships are much, much harder to navigate, what do you think?
