I went to MIT but I got my debt paid off after about 4 years working. I did it by NOT getting great toys - I always had roommates, drove a Toyota Tercel, and I actually bought stuff at Salvation Army to save money. And I also saved what I could during my career. Unfortunately, though, I went through my savings when I got cancer. :( And I can no longer work as an engineer because my body can't handle the hours.

I think they should teach children about how to better handle money when they are in school?
