I have a friend who voted for Trump who works in a hospital helping people who are sick. He’s been punched in the face by a sick patient who was scared. He is afraid to go home to his family because he knows he is around infected people all day and even with his PPE he knows he might still be a carrier. So he is staying in a hotel room. Is his sacrifice not important because of who he voted for? He works in a liberal county that voted for Hillary, so most of the people he treats are probably Democrats.

Call me crazy, I’d rather show empathy and compassion for people even if I disagree with them. To me a true liberal cares about everyone’s rights, even the rights of the disagreeable.
