I'm a Christian, and many Christians also do not celebrate Halloween, for similar reasons. Some churches will have a party with games and treats for the kids so they don't feel left out, but the themes will be more wholesome.
I personally don't have an issue with Halloween, because I don't take the symbols literally. Though I am sure there are Wiccans and European pagans who might find American Halloween to be a form of cultural appropriation!
I also have played D&D, which, again, some religious people are not fans of. But I respect people who don't participate in these things. The important thing is that we all need to follow our conscience. Doing the right thing is more important than candy. And teaching your children to be truthful is such a wonderful thing.
