I'm a minority woman so I've experienced discrimination, but what people don't realize - there are also white men who grew up poor, etc. While I hate racism and discrimination, it's also not OK to hate on white men for being white men!

If you read the history of America - we've had waves of immigrants, ALL of whom suffered. The Irish, Italians, Jews, Poles, Germans, Greeks, etc., suffered as well as the Mexicans, Chinese, Japanese, etc.

White immigrants worked in coal mines and on docks. It's not like all of them came from wealth. Some, liken Andrew Carnegie, started out very humbly and built fortunes. Others just lived "ordinary" lives.

I don't like that racism and discrimination still exist today but it's unfortunately part of human nature. You can minimize it but not eradicate it.
