I get most of my news from international sources such as DW, the BBC, Al-Jazeera, or, my favorite, WION.

Recently, I watched a truly frightening video on WION.

I would recommend you watch the video yourself, but if you want a recap, here are some of the highlights:

• 90% of residents in Henan Province in China are infected with Covid-19
• That means of the 99.4 million people who live there, 88.5 million are infected
• China dropped all travel restrictions on January 8th.
• That means Chinese travelers are coming to an airport near you.
• The first flights from China to Thailand and Milan occurred recently. 50% of the people were infected with Covid-19!!! Thailand thinks there will be 7–10 million Chinese visitors in the next few months. Question: what kind of insanity is OK with letting potentially 5 million infected people into their country?
• 75% of Shanghai residents are believed to be infected
• China has 1.4 billion people. If 70% are infected, that adds up to 980 million people.
