It’s because a lot of people are cultists. There was the cult of Obama and now there is the cult of Trump.

To be totally fair I think there is probably more bias against Trump because he is a Republican and most reporters are liberal. I know some try to be unbiased and objective but it’s hard for human beings to always do that.

I think Trump is awful but, for example, he’s not a racist. I grew up in NYC and he was in the headlines all the time back then, and if he’d been a racist that would have been front page news. I also don’t think he’s a sexist because he had a history of hiring and promoting competent women.

However, he did illegal things an also things I consider immoral. For example, the way he treated his brother Fred. The Polish construction workers he illegally hired to remove asbestos who he didn’t even fit with safety masks. And of course all of his womanizing and cheating on his wives.

All that being said — I have friends who support Trump. And they are great people. I’m not going to start hating on them simply because we disagree. Whatever happened to agreeing to disagree?
