It’s never quite that easy in terms of red vs blue though.

For example, during the AIDs epidemic, there were gay men who refused to give up the bathhouse culture even though that was a risk factor. The issue was not gay vs. straight but having unprotected sex with lots of strangers vs being much more selective about your partners and using condoms.

In this current crisis we’ve all seen the footage of idiot Spring Breakers… young people are much more likely to “vote blue”. So that balances off the oldsters.

BTW, I have more sympathy for the old ones acting like fools — because they’ve lived their 3 score and 10, so to speak. However, I’m glad that every old one I know is being super careful.
