It's obvious from the context that either woman or female should be used. Where women might start feeling erased - what if every winner in a woman's sports competition ends up being at trans-woman?

Trans women have the right to be referred to by their desired pronouns, to be treated with respect, etc., but if you allow trans women to compete in most sports against those who were born women, then you will basically erase women from sports.

Another area that has been problematic - allowing rapist who were born male into women's prisons. I read of a case in the UK (I can try to find a link if anyone is interested) where a trans woman raped and impregnated at least one woman who was born a woman.

The issue is that those who were born male tend to be larger and stronger than those who were born female. Unless they have been surgically altered and have received hormone therapy, they may still have male hormones, which means they are more likely to rape.

We can respect trans people and want them to have legal rights without putting women in danger or reducing them to baby machines.
