I've known "rich" people who actually DID work really hard for their money, or their grandparents had worked hard and invested. I've also known a few people who were part of these scams. The insider trading, the bail outs... this is why the whole Gamestop thing was so appealing, because the little guys got back at the big guys, who we all suspect are really cheating.

Do I resent people who are wealthier than me because they worked harder, sacrificed more or were simply more talented or lucky? No. But people like the Enron execs who walked away with golden parachutes while the rank and file lost their pensions? Yeah, I resent those people.
