I loved this article. It's profound and resonated with me.

I've never had children. Sometimes I regret that because I do love children. But why do I regret it? The social messages more than an innate desire to give birth.

While I love children, I love them after the age of reason. I am all thumbs with infants, I hate the thought of changing diapers, having sleepless nights... I think the best role for me is to be the fun "aunt" who takes the children out for fun activities, giving the parents a break. That satisfies my need for nurturing the next generation. That and spoiling my pets, having a garden and being a kind friend.
