Jesus loves children. He says better tie a millstone around your neck and drown than hurt a little child. Girl children as well as boy children are precious to Him. When a man who calls himself a Christian violates a child, he commits the gravest of sins.

Is there forgiveness? God can forgive anything. But, remember what Christ says - your sins are forgiven, now go forth and sin no more.

Josh and his parents had a responsibility to make sure that Josh sinned no more.

How to make that happen?

1) Recognize his weakness. We are all weak. The first step to transformation is to admit we are sinners and to ask for help.

2) Set up accountability. In the case of Josh - that may mean he takes responsibility to NEVER be alone with someone who is underage, even if they are his own children. He must not blame the other person but recognize that the problem is within himself and ask God for help to cope with this.

3) He must ask those who care for him to keep him in prayer as he continues to work through his issues. In order to help work through those issues, he should go to Christian counseling, secular therapy, perhaps work with a psychiatrist to find medication that might help him and he should also keep himself busy with work, hobbies, etc., that will keep his mind off his impure desires.

4) He could be humble and honest. Confess that he has been hit hard by a very horrible sinful temptation but that through the grace of God he is fighting this and will continue to do so. By honestly sharing his struggles he might give hope and help to others in the same boat and hopefully save many innocents from being hurt.
