It's a controversial topic, but for me it comes down to allowing individuals to have the right to their own bodies. I wrote an article about not hugging a child who didn't want to be hugged: https://shefaliohara.medium.com/i-refused-to-hug-her-daughter-d09dbb6057c3
So that gives you an idea of where I am coming from, but I respect your POV and honestly, I'm not a man. I just reflexively wince at the thought of a knife going anywhere near my genitals and so I felt an automatic empathy for male children who go through this procedure.
As far as gender transition - I think it depends on the age. I mean, young children are so fluid. I would be very cautious about doing anything permanent because of that.
