Many years ago I read "The Gulag Archipelago". I always wondered why Americans were so informed about the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps but not about the gulags? And now of course we have the lao gai in China and the camps in N.Korea. Really, all totalitarian regimes have such horrible places. It is important that we know about these and do what we can to speak against them.
